Bench test
Can I bench test the series motor with a 12v battery charger with adjustable amperage?
Searched internet, but can’t find anything. Thanks for help |

Re: Bench test
Nope, the open end is not supported by a bearing, so the magnetic field will just pull the armature to one side. If it spins while touching the side, the test will be "complete", and you Will for sure need a new motor.

Re: Bench test
What if I leave it on the cart, can I use the 12v charger, or is it bad for the charger?

Re: Bench test
On the cart, you can try. I would use a car battery instead. I'm not sure a charger alone can do it.
