Best way to get to my motors brushes
Being told I may have bad brushes in my electric cart, looks like I can get at them if I take the right rear wheel off or should I just drop the rear axel assembly?

Re: Best way to get to my motors brushes
Oh no, the motor has to be totally removed from cart. Dont even bother trying to check/service them on the cart, you'll never get it back together (but you probably would destroy the tach sensor magnet while trying to do so). Axle removal is totally unnecessary, just the motor itself.

Like cgtech said, just pull the motor. No other disassembly required.

Re: Best way to get to my motors brushes
Ok cool! I appreciate the pointers! I’ve had this cart apart right down to the basics and know I can get the motor out no prob but are brushes anything to be nervous about. Body man/painter by trade and have some electrical background as well but haven’t dove into a motor like before. Just trying to prepare
