I don't know the book answer but I never grease mine, I think in this application the grease would work for two minutes and then start collecting dirt.
Just make sure there are no burrs, gouges or rough wear marks in the ramps and let it slide. (some pun intended) |

UPDATE.... Tom at CPP had the little triangular piece for the driven clutch. They are now made from plastic.... hope they hold up ok. That fixed my problem of "shifting" and actuating the pulley.

No, I figured grease would eat the plastic up over time... and it was not greasy in the one I took apart.,
