stumped with melex 252 problem
I posted earlier with a problem of my Melex vibrating and then not going. Have been around the world with trying to diagnose this problem. Here's my situation now: I have a new speed control, a new solonoid, have had the motor serviced at a reputable motor company, and still have no power to the motor. My overall battery pack charge is right at 36 volts. Each individual battery is reading 6.1 volts. The solonoid clicks when the accellerator is depressed. The motor acts as if it is going to go, but nothing happens. What steps do I need to take to run checks to find out my possible problem?

Recharge your batteries, for starters. They are empty
What steps have you taken toward checking the controller? It is a controller cart? Right? |

Re: stumped with melex 252 problem
Yes this iis a controler cart. a 275 amp curtis which I just had rebuilt. I have not run any checks on this new one and don't really know how to check it. A cart repair shop in my area sent off my old one and that is where I got the new one. I will try to charge some more but my charger shows it to be fully charged. Also when I hook everything up and you are real quiet you can hear the batteries bubbling or boiling. if you disconnect the last positive from the pack it stops. When I put the black lead on volt meter on the last neg battery terminal and check the red terminal to the a-1 a-2 s-1 s-2 on motor I also get 36 v.when I come off the neg side of solonoid I get nothing. Also between the two large studs on the solonoid there is small voltage 1.3-2 then when you press excelerator the voltage drops to 0. there is 36 v at the 2 small studs on solonoid.
