intake problem g2
I have a G2, just rebuilt the engine, new piston rings etc. cam timing is correct, govenor is hooked up, but maxed out. The engine runs fine as long as there is not intake restriction of any kind. If I hook up the air intake tube the engine bogs down, even without connected to the air filter. The tube is not collapsed, I even put on a pc of corrugated straight tubing and engine bogs down.
The exhaust pipe and muffler are extremely hot. Could this be a plugged muffler??????? Or what else |

Re: intake problem g2
Id check the carb as well as the exhaust. You can just loosen the exhaust bolts and create a exhaust leak and try to run the car, if it runs fine then it is an exhaust issue, if not go after carb or valve adjustment.
