Dually rear wheels for Bad Boy Buggie??

Hello Everyone,

We are having a problem with our Bad Boy Buggie getting stuck in the snow, imagine that , We have tried in the past lowering the air pressure down to 4 PSI. Seems to help. My boss asked if we could install a spacer and have dually rear wheels, so my question is,

DO they make a spacer that wide?

What ill effects will I see in terms of wear on the axle?

Factory Tires are 22X11-10
Rims are 4 bolt 10X7 with 3 1/2" back spacing

We have a spare set of aluminum rims and tires to put on the rear
Tires are 22X11-10
Rims are 10X7 aluminum with 3" backspacing

Please let me know if there is anything out there for this, we are talking about 7" for a spacer.

There area couple of carts with dual rear wheels on here but never knew how they did it. Maybe someone will chime in here soon........

Theres no spacer that wide available but you can make an adapter. I've seen one cart with dual rear wheels and he just made his. A lathe would come in handy for this....its not like the cart is going 40-50 mph either.

How bout a change of tire. They make some pretty good tires. Heck, a set of mudlites would probly be better than the stock set.

Dual Wheels reduces the amount of weight applied to each wheel and therefore reduces the traction in the rear on each tire.....

Much like a 1 Ton Dually in the snow..... not very good

If you got stuck with these.....theres something wrong. Dont know how well they would do on ice but they would do real good in snow.

My problem in snow is it packing in under the cart and lifting it
off the ground. Are you old enough to remember going every where
with a 50 ford and 6/70 15 tires. The large fat frog poppers we have
today pack the snow up in front of them selves.

This may or may not be a problem with a cart. But my Arctic Cat 650V2 with MudLites is so heavy & powerful that if you gas it too hard in deep snow, the tires dig down super quickly.... to the point that your sitting on the skid plates.

The tire of choice around here for deep snow (for ATV riders) is the Maxxis Bighorn. I'm not sure why, but they just don't dig as quickly or easily as the more aggressive treads.



This is obviously in a much more powerful machine than a golf cart. Might not be the same with these.

I'd bet if you stuck wheels out that far that you will break off the axles with the additional stress / cantilever force...
