2008 freedom rxv battery guage
guage reads E with key off F with key on. cart is new to me.

i have drained down batteries twice !!! i have service manual. useless!!!!!!! i need technical info. to diagnose guage. It appears that cart has a stock voltage reducer for 12 volt lights.

your guage will have 3 wires. one is negative from batt pack and one is pwr from switch and the other is power from battery pack. See what voltage you have on the 2 wires coming from battery pack. It is very possible you have a bad connection or a bad guage. those gauges are not very accurate. I have replaced several of them.

and also the voltage reducer has nothing to do with guage. The reducer is only for lights and accessories.

No offense, but if you suspect there is a bad gauge on that cart, you should take it to your local E-Z-GO dealer. As a 2008, that cart is still fully covered by WARRANTY and you should let them replace a defective part to ensure continued warranty coverage.
