Default Any ideas????

I have fixed the problem with jetting the carburetor on my 2000 g16 golf cart thanks for the helpful advice... now I am havin an unrelated problem with the thing starting! Here is what's going on... I press the gas and it makes a sort of clicking noise, if I lift the seat and turn the clutch counter balance while I've got the gas pedal pressed it starts. This doesn't happen all of the time, but its starting to become frequent. Any ideas?

Dogg, go read the sticky "so your Yamaha won't turn over", 9th one down from top. Clean battery cables at both ends. Your looking for a bad or dirty connection, loose ground etc.

Second on list is putting new brushes in starter.

Third on list is; keep reading the yamaha site, you will learn much. Read all old threads, start at the back. Do all maintenance, you will have a great running car.

Sounds like a dead spot on the commutator. Check your brushes, and spray some contact cleaner on it while the starter is engaged and running.

Not bad at all, I did mine a yr. ago. The brushes were about half way to the worn-out mark, but it was hesitating once in a while. I wanted a reliable car so I ordered brushes before I ever took it out of the car. If I was gonna open it up, I was gonna put new brushes in regardless. So while it was apart I cleaned it out (air) oiled the bearings, And since its a Hot Rod, I polished the end caps! And yes, the polishing was good for a tenth!!

Oh, yes it did correct the hesitating problem!
