Default smoking g14

I have a g14 that I bought last year, smokes bad (all the time). Guessing the oil rings are bad (150# comp, only one quart of oil, no gas in oil). Took apart motor, cylinder looks fine, but a friend told me that it “looks” egg shaped with the way the way the piston moved in the cylinder. How do I confirm this instead of “looking” at it? How do I know if a new set of rings will be ok or if I have to bore it? If it was already bored would it be stamped on the top of the piston (I don’t see .25 or .50 so I’m guessing its stock)? If it needs to be bored do you anyone who does it in the Buffalo, NY area? Thanks in advance.
