From what I was told the green wire is just like the red wire on a factory E-Z-GO it's a safety so you can't drive off if the charger is plugged in. You don't need it. Mine isn't hooked up.

sorry, I didn't see this post until now. Andy is correct, there is no need to hook up the 3rd wire (green) on your cart.

ok i've checked several posts and still have questions. first this is a 48 volt setup on an ezgo. my charger came with a plug that goes into the stock charging port, i'm hardwiring to the battery pack. dis-assembled the plug and theres a white wire black wire and a green wire. black is - and white + is the green not connected at all?
