Default G14 governor shaft leaking.

I am in the process of finally installing the clone motor and encountered a problem. I took the accelerator cable off the governor located on the rear differential to connect it directly to the clone motor. When I took it on a little joy ride to test everything out, it seems that I was losing fluid out of the governor shaft. Any ideas on the best way to correct this? Any help would be much appreciated.

The little oil seal may be bad (#13).

The shaft actually moves up and down, about 1/2 inch. It never leaked before so I was thinking that when the cables were removed, there isnt pressure there to hold it down any more to keep it sealed.

Could be. I always remove my cables/governor, etc... on all mine. Never had a problem. Might want to make sure its not overfilled. Of course if this was the situation, it would more than likely leak out the overflow/vent hose.
