Default Need some real help

You guys have a great forum and i have learned a lot. With that said, I am in need of some serious help. I have a 36 volt 1998 ez go txt that will not move. The solenoid will not click and reverse will not beep. I permanantely bypassed the reed switch and that didn't work. I'm also getting power from all 4 Terminal studs (but I'm not sure of the exact voltage). I also checked the batteries and they are reading around 37 volts fully charged and clean. Each individual battery is reading around 6.2 volts. The only thing i have not checked is the controller and the motor because I don't know how. Any help you can provide will be greatly appreciated.

Btw, it started when I went up a hill and it sputtered and then just stopped...

Again, thanks for your help...

You stated the year of the cart but what type is it? Is it a DCS or series?

First thing is to get those batteries charged.
37V is less than 70% State of Charge and if that is a DCS cart, DCS controllers have a bad habit of giving up the ghost when are ran on low voltage.

Next, the solenoid has to click for the cart to run.

Need to know what type drive system (DCS or Series) before we can troubleshoot further.

Thanks

It sounds to me like your Batteries are shot..... Put a meter on them and tell us what the voltage drops to when you try to go. We can go from there!

I'll give it a try after they fully charge.

Thanks

fully charge the batteries then let them sit for 12 hours to settle. Take a reading then and see how much voltage they are able to hold. It should be 38.2 or so.
Test draw down voltages from there.... If you start higher than that we will have falsely high readings.

So the batteries are fully charged. I used a battery tester and 5 of the batteries are weak under load and the other battery is bad under load. Would that cause the cart to not move and the backup alarm not to work?

Thanks
