Default need help identifying cart, and need more speed

I just bought an ezgo cart.

The plate says : K2 895 910651

First of all, what year is this cart?

The cart says "freedom" on the side, and the body housing appears to be metal.

It is 42 volt. I just installed 7 new batteries last week. I am very disapointed with the speed of this cart. I looked at the motor, and it is a 2 hp motor.

My last 42 volt western cart would haul ***. But it had a 4 hp motor in it.

So I thought this cart would be fast, but it tops out at about 12.8 mph. A real dog.

Can someone help me with the following :

What year is this cart?

I need some suggestions, on how i can get more speed out of this dog.

Also, what is a "Freedom" ?

Thanks for any help.

It's a 95 medalist, you need to check this cart again, check your charger and see what the out put DC volts are, and look at the sticker on the motor to verify what the volts are, because 42v is not right, and where did you put 7 batteries? this cart should be 36v, unless some one modified this cart.
