Clutch Springs
Ok, so, I'm asking the loving wife for a set of performance clutch springs for Christmas. I'm just going with the ones on Cartspartsplus.com as per the link in the sticky section.
1.Is it worth it? My ol' 88 is a DOG!! It runs solid enough but you hit the hills and take off is SLOW. 2. I've seen them all over the place and range from $40-$80+ is there a difference and are these on that site worth it... 3. I am very mechanical... i do all my own repairs on my cars and cart. Is this an easy project? How long... weekend project, Day project, week? Let me know... and as always, thanks guys! |

I put a lift an 23x12" tires on my 99 recently which caused it to struggle up hills. I had CPP machine my clutch and install the power kit spring and i definitely gained back the lost torque. Happy with the money spent.

Re: Clutch Springs
Sweet... What do you think did more, the Machining or the Spring?

Machining for sure. If it is one or the other, go with machining. I sent my clutch off and had it back and on my cart in the same week. I had already purchased the power kit spring so I had Tom install it while he had my clutch.
