Thanks CRZ, but I checked the wire for continuity and it was fine. Also it was sparking earlier. I think I found a local guy with a used coil excitor and I will pull the engine again and swap thoose out. Got the engine pretty much ready to pull tomorrow.
I kind of wish that Club Car had used the regular starter with solenoid like John Deere did on this same engine, but I know it wouldn't fit because of the transmission. Putting such a critical part behind the flywheel? I expect to do some work here and there, but pulling the engine twice is getting to be a bit much! |

Well, I solved my problem today. I found and bought a 2008 Precedent (gas). I will continue to look for an excitor, but will look further into putting a new motor in, maybe a Predator.
