I have a 2000 club car ds with a 3" lift kit with stock tires and I would like to have a better ride what is the best or easiest way to accomplish this.

Re: Need better ride
Bigger tires will help.Taller sidewalls give more flex/bounce.Make sure they aren't super stiff. Depending on what your use is, you can go with different ply-ratings. I run softer tires(2ply fronts,4-ply rears),since I run off-road and climb rocks,fallen-trees,etc..and need the added flex for traction. On-Road,you will want a stiffer tire so it doesn't roll on turns and cause loss of control. Hope this helps.

Re: Need better ride
Exssive, first thing i checked and there was 30 psi in them, when i purchased the cart, crazy amount ruff as hell. Now i have less than 10 psi it do ride softer but still ruff tires and shocks is the way to go. Thanks guy's for the info.

Re: Need better ride
How is the rear lifted? If it is with heavy duty 4 leaf springs take out the overload spring the short one on the bottom. You will not loose any lift and it will soften the ride.

Re: Need better ride
Well, I dont have any ideas for the rear. You have the stock spring. Maybe the shock is not long enough? You could unbolt one lower shock mount and see if it reaches the mount with out any one on the cart. If you have to compress the spring some to get the shock in the mount its to short.
Aside from that bigger side wall and low psi in the tires as others have suggested. |
