Default 07 club car ds

Sooo, while waiting for my controller rebuild from FSIP I was looking at Craigslist and well, now I have another cart. I'm still working on the ezgo MPT1000 and after tons of research on them now I'm learning about club cars. First off, my ezgo is an 8x6 48 volt system. The club car is a 4x12 48 volt system. Of course the batteries are somewhat cooked, one of them literally. Actually one of them is a six volt too. So the question is, is there a difference between what batteries, 6,8,12, make the best 48 volt system for club cars?

The best setup is the eight 6v batts for a 48v cart, but the six 8v batt setup is what CC uses and is good too...
