Default Cart wont move

Ok I installed a lift kit last night on my 1998 CC DS cart to get it ready for a hunting trip. I left it at my buddy barn so he could use it. When he came in this am to hunt he said it would not move.

He may not have very much experience with golf carts so I am not to nervous. BUT when I was putting the dash back on I did get an arc from the ignition thing. Could that arc caused the ignition thing/mechanism to go bad? If so what is the name so I don't look like a fool going to the part store? Also if any of you have any other ideas of why it wouldn't move and yes the batteries(<1 year old Trojans) were fully charged before lift was installed.

If it has not run since you shorted the ignition out I would test the F&R micro switch (ms) - if it's good I would look at the V-glide ms. Depending upon what year cart you are asking about.

I'm guessing there is no solenoid click when you try to go?

ok here goes. there may be a fuse under the body by the solenoid that was popped,if it is original computer. Other wise you may have cooked a switch or a wire from the solenoid to the ignition switch.
