G8 to G14 parts swap???

I have a G14 gasser and want to get a lift, tires, the back seat.....I found a G8 electric with bad batteries with everything I want to get for mine. If I buy this can i swap the complete body out, so I can use the back seat, and put the lift on my frame?

The guy says its a 5" A-arm lift. I looked on Jakes and it looks like the same lift kit is used for the g8, g11 and g14.

yes, most parts will fit. I say most!! Ignitions and a few other parts will not.

If the lift is 5", i'd question whether its professional or home made.

Mac, what about the suspension front and rear? I thought most things interchanged from G14 to G16 visa versa? Are you saying the suspension will interchange G8-G14 and other parts. Am I wrong? ?

Moes, you have one of each. You will know better than I. Almost sure the front is the same. But the rear swing arms are a bit different.

Jim says the front A arms are longer on a G8 than a 16. Don't know about a 14.

Will bet money that a Jakes lift will fit on all 3 of them. You will have a shock length problem with the G8 tho. Cant remember, does the 14 have the 3 link like the 8?

Jim is right! I will measure the G14 tomorrow. It is too late now to head back to the shop.

I will check the G14 on that. I put in a All Sports 7" lift on my G8 and had no shock problems as of yet. Their lift said on the instructions that it would fit a G8-G16. I don't know if I buy that or it was a typo.

I am going to do a 6" Jake's lift or a Patanga lift on my G14 when I get to it.

I'm guessing the shock length on the 8 is shorter than the 16. Again, Jim will know.
