Welds on front suspension
The weld on one side of the front tap that is welded to the round tube has broken loose on mine. It is above the top bolts in this photo, which is not my cart, just to show.
I have searched and not seen anyone have problems here. Looking at the way it is welded, it does not look very strong. Any ways to fix this better since I'm going to have get it welded back on? Anything need to make sure in fixing this? Help is needed. Thanks |

Re: Welds on front suspension
Thats what I hate with the Econo-Lifts,They add alot of stress, without extra support. The proper repair would be to remove the lift-kit,install the control-arms in stock location(or atleast try to,you may have to pull it some first),straighten and repair the break, then you can reinstall the lift-kit.When prepped and welded properly,it should be better than new.Hope this helps.

That front suspension looks pretty messed up! Gotta wonder what that radiator is doing in there?

Re: Welds on front suspension
Mine is basically the same setup with a 4" lift . I would just weld it back up if the round bar is not cracked or split. Or you could add some flat stock on top and weld that too for added support . Mine takes a lot of twisting in the woods and has held up fine so far.
Oh Yea.... ROLL TIDE ROLL !!!!! |
