Precedent brake cable to short after lifting
So I just started installing a mad jax lift kit in my 2008 precedent and noticed the brake cable on the D/S is to short. I've read a lot of post on this issue but I'm just wondering what the latest and greatest fix is for this. It's only short by about 1" or so. Any help or suggestion would be great.

Re: Precedent brake cable to short after lifting
Just found tahoedawgs fix think I'm going to try that. Hopefully it works on a madjax kit.

Re: Precedent brake cable to short after lifting
So I got started on it and so far so good but I do have to make new plates for underneath the axle probably do that at work tomorrow. But I do have one ? I figured this rearend had dry axles but clearly I was wrong. When I pulled the axles to swap the brakes I lost most of the diff fluid. I guess that's one way to change the oil. Lol, what's the best fluid to use in this diff ? Should I run synthetic ?

Re: Precedent brake cable to short after lifting
Just finished the lift kit on my precedent using tahoedawgs method. What a difference. What a great idea and set of instructions. I was using a madjax kit so I had to make 2 more spring brackets but besides that it went together perfectly. I'm glad I took the time to do this. Cables are nice and high and out of the way and the brakes work perfect with the stock cables. Also managed to find some purple sae30 and filled the diff. Finding that stuff was the most difficult part of the project I swear.
