Im still a little dumb on this . I have a 2005 cc precedent 48v . Do i need a voltage regulator or a voltage reducer? I have some extra goodies i want to hook up but havent cause im a little mixed up. If someone can tell me which one i need and whats the difference on both,

You want to reduce 48 v. from your total battery pack down to 12 v. for your accessories.

Recommend 20 - 30 amp reducer depending on the load you intend to apply and if you will add additional load in the future.

I bought a 30 amp, price difference is not that significant between 20 & 30. I also bought a reducer with a control wire connected to my key switch. This way when I leave the cart and turn key off all power drain from accessories is interrupted.

Check with the sponsors on this website, check out Carts Unlimited or call ScottyB, you'll get what you need the first time

Actually the correct term is voltage converter. It converts 48v to 12v. A voltage reducer is used to reduce 16v to 8v and a voltage regulator is is to control the battery charge on gas cart or automobiles.

Actually I have a voltage converter on my motor home that converts DC voltage to AC voltage. I had a 16v to 12v reducer on my cart before I replaced it with the 48v to 12v reducer.
