Doesn't make a whole lot of sense to randomly stick in two different systems and have to stock two different sets of spare parts etc. I could see if if there was a supply issue from the main supplier that they simply could not meet demands I guess. Must be something along those lines.

The GE motor was used on almost all of the DS cars until 2010 or so. The GE motor mainly died off in the Precedent in 2006, but there are random odd-ball cars all over the place. There's no rhyme or reason to it.

There are actually 2 different versions of the ADC motor used in Precedent carts as well (EJ4-4001) which has 5/16 studs for F1 and F2 and the model that is now the only one with 1/4 studs for F1 and F2 (EJ8-4001A).

Correct. The EJ8-4001A has the 1/4" studs on the F1 and F2 posts, but the internals are the same between both motors, or so I'm told. Both motors were used on both the IQ and Excel cars.

What Charger would have typically come with a 2008 CC Precedent IQ?
