Battery not charging to full capacity
My 48volt cart has a onboard charger. But it only charges to 50.4. My batteries are only a year old. Is this an issue?

Re: Battery not charging to full capacity
The pack is only reaching 90% of it's potential.
What is the highest voltage reading while the charger is on.... near the end of the charge cycle? |

Re: Battery not charging to full capacity
I checked it yesterday when it was about 80% charged (I checked it only once)and the voltage showed to be 58.8 That is with the charger still being plugged in. After it was done charging I unplugged it last night and this morning it was at 50.4

Re: Battery not charging to full capacity
58v is high enough.
Unless your meter is reading .5v low which can happen if it is connected in way that is not directly to the battery pack. It seems your batteries have lost some of their ability to hold a charge. |

Re: Battery not charging to full capacity
I used my handheld volt meter to test the voltage so I think the 50.4 is what it really is. Each individual battery is reading at 8.3- 8.4 (I have 6 8V batteries). At this point I am not sure if its the batteries or charger. I have one of those delta-q 912-4800 on board chargers and it comes with 10 preloaded charging algorithms. My battery is one of those algorithms. I am not sure if the charger automatically selects the correct algorithms out of the 10 preloaded ones or if I need to select one. I have read the manual but it does say either way. I guess I could take all the batteries out and take them to autozone to have them tested. Any thoughts or recommendation on what to do next?

Re: Battery not charging to full capacity
I'm curious about this charger. Can you link us to some specs?
