The motors used in RXV as far as I can tell are operated in a speed mode so the goal for the controller is to match the RPM to requested throttle %. That being said at 0% throttle it is looking for 0 RPM. The control will apply current as necessary to maintain no motion. Thus why a poorly tuned motor+control pair may cog forward and back when coasting to a stop.
Then as cg said the EM brake will take over this will allow to control to reduce power consumption since the powered off state of the brake is closed thus locking the vehicle in and eliminating the need for the control to drive current to maintain no movement. |

Well I got to check out the RXV and I can tell you the brakes work good. I think better than mine. The cart is pretty fast for stock. (Except for wheels)
