So the springs are from an ezgo dealer in Minnesota. I installed a set of 4 leaf springs, and the same thing happened. The 3 leaf springs are thicker metal, but I measured them prior to putting them on...they are the exact same length as the 4 leaf sets.

Its a little blurry....but comparing the way your shackles are and mine.....it appears that the springs are wrong/too long for your application.

That's exactly wha mine looked like when I put it on. It looks the way it does now after the spring has let go quite a few times.

Could it be worn bushings on the top half of the shackle? Those are the only bushings I havent replaced? I can't imagine that they would allow for that much play, but I'm out of ideas.

Ok, those springs are not re-arching, The rear shackle is collapsing..... Totally different pickle to deal with......

This is gonna sound bad, but is there a difference in length from the center pin to each end of the spring? I remember having this happen to me once or twice before and if memory serves me, I had to swap the spring end for end because the center pins were not centered......

Not that I'm aware of, but I will measure it out Saturday when I get to the campground. It would seem odd that it would work on the right side and not the left if the spring was the issue. It would also seem odd that it would happen to more than one spring on that side. 2 3 leaf springs and 1 4 leaf spring to be exact.

yes-you have a geometry problem with the shackle-you can relocate the top shackle to the rear to solve the geometry problem or get a shorter spring...

when I installed the spring, it was almost vertical at that point. They looked exactly like sir Nuke's picture when they were installed. Not to mention, when I first installed it, it worked like a champ for the first 8-10 hours.
