Accelerator acts like an on/off switch
2011 Ruff-N-Tuff. So the accelerator pedal acts like an On/Off switch. It seems like it will accelerate normally but when you let off the pedal it is like you slammed on all four brakes. It also won't engage the 4WD or Lock the Diff. I had to repair a couple of wires in the dash but they went to the wipers and speedometer. So I guess I have more than one question here so
#1) is the accelerator issue just an adjustment and if so what do I need to do to make it work right? #2) Is there an actual complete wiring diagram for these things? I have found one for the batteries/charger/motor/controller and another hand drawn one for the 4WD/Lock switches but all it shows are the two switches and which color wire goes where. Thanks. |

Re: Accelerator acts like an on/off switch
I have the same question. It almost threw me off the seat on my first ride. It seems like some kind of engine brake. I want to know if it can be turned off?
