2006 G22E reverse problem
I have a 2006 G22e with an intermittent problem with reverse. When it's not working, the reverse buzzer is very faint and the sound dies out slowly, like a capacitor losing charge. When it's in this condition, regardless of the Forward/Reverse switch position, the cart goes forward when the pedal is pressed.
I've replaced the Forward/Reverse switch and that made no difference. I'm thinking it may be the solenoid but that really doesn't make sense either since the cart will go forward. Is this a symptom of the controller dying? Any help or troubleshooting tricks would be appreciated. |

Re: 2006 G22E reverse problem
I replaced the solenoid today and as I suspected, it didn't change anything. The cart does not go in reverse when the reverse switch is engaged. The backup buzzer is on but it is faint. The I depress the pedal the cart goes forward.
I'm now thinking it must be the controller but it would be great if someone could provide a few tests to confirm. Would disconnecting the speed sensor make any difference? Could it be the motor itself? Seems unlikely. If there were some simple tests I could do it would be appreciated before I spend hundreds on a controller. |
