Looking to buy, a few concerns.
From what I'm reading here, white tag is junk, controller is junk, motor is junk,
should I just buy an EZGO ? Looking at a 2010 G29 YDRE ,low hour, not from a fleet, will it give me the above troubles? I don't plan on lift or big tires, just something to get around our retirement community . Can the tag on the differential be easily seen ? I've always thought Yamaha made quality equipment but that's not what I'm reading here. |

Re: Looking to buy, a few concerns.
The Yamaha is a nice cart, so is the Ezgo , and the Club Car. You won't go wrong with any of the newer model carts from the 3 Big names above.
The controller will need replacing unless you strictly golf. and the motor is weak in the Yamaha... but seriously - you could sell a good stock Hitachi motor for half the cost of a totally awesome aftermarket motor. How do you want to use the cart? |

Re: Looking to buy, a few concerns.
We live in a 55+ golf community, the cart will be used on the street in our community. The 2010 Yamaha goes 24 MPH . I rarely golf, our course requires electric, no gas allowed for golfing. Street legal carts with horn, blinkers, headlight & tail lights are very common in Arizona , the DMV laws are very
"cart friendly". I'm a good mechanic and capable of doing repairs and maintenance. I've always owned dirt bikes but I don't have the reflexes for that anymore |

2010 should not have white tag axle. Tag can be seen with a mirror from the rear bumper area. It's next to the oil fill plug.

Re: Looking to buy, a few concerns.
It has a new motor so we bought it. It is not a white tag axle.
The Trojan batteries are 1 year old. I need to figure out how to quiet down the reverse alarm! Thanks for the help! |

Reverse buzzer is under the nose. Put a piece of tape, or Velcro over the hole.
