G19 rear axle bearing
While checking the brake shoes I noticed rust on spline behind axle nut.Had to spray penetrating oil on spline and hammer hub off axle spline. No sign of oil leaking around axel bearing ,had rust on spline up tp axel bearing.Think I will replace the bearing,I see a snap ring at backing plate,Does the differential cover have to come off,I,m thinking there must be a clip holding the axle in place. Is the bearing pressed on the axle shaft?

Re: G19 rear axle bearing
A clip in front of the bearing facing the brakes, then just yank it out.
