Just became a Yamaha G29 Drive Owner
Took ownership of a 2008 G29 Drive 48v last night. It has a lift and new wheels and tires. Will need a back seat and lights first. Totally new to cart ownership so look forward to watching all of you and making this thing something my entire family loves.

First question. If I want to install a small light bar, do I need a voltage reducer? I have 4 12v batteries. Thanks in advance. Will add headlights down the road, but need something quick and cheap to get some light in the meantime.

While it will "work", it will do harm to that battery over time. The more it's used, the faster the damage.

Get a reducer. Super simple to install and you won’t risk eating up one battery.
