Default Power Drive 2 48v charger for Yamaha?

Seems to be a theme here. I got a club car power drive 2 charger that I want to use on my G8 when I convert to 48v. The DC cord has three wires instead of two like my 36v charger. I know the club car has an OBC but not sure what’s what when connecting my two blade crowfoot plug. Any thoughts?

Searching shows I can bypass the relay but will need to put a mechanical timer inline of the AC plug as the charger will not have the ability to sense charge levels and shut itself off.

I’m not convinced it’s the proper method *♂️

The Powerdrive 2 charger will not work without the OBC.

You can only put a timer on a Ferroresonant charger, the powerdrive 2 is just a power supply.

Even if you got it to work, it would be a unreliable charging method at best. Don't do it, new batteries cost too much money to waste.
