Default Rear end sits higher after lift kit install

I recently installed a 6" drop axle lift kit on my '97 EZ GO DCS. I also installed heavy duty rear leaf springs. After the install, I noticed the rear end sits quite a bit higher than the front end (maybe 2-3" higher). Is this caused by the rear heavy duty rear leaf springs? Should I expect this difference?

It doesn't look bad and I'm sure once I install a rear seat kit, it will lower a little. I just want to make sure there was no risk of future issues and any way I could have installed something improperly to cause this.

Thanks

That’s good.... you’ll be able to go faster and farther on a charge since you’ll always be runnin downhill

Kidding aside... I don’t know if it’s by design but better high than low

You ought to share a couple pictures so the experts will be able to opine

The HD springs normally lift the rear about an inch or so. Maybe your prior springs were sagging?

Anyway, it's not an issue so long as it isn't pulling on the brake cable much. If you go too high then the brake cable may get pulled too tight. They do make extensions for the brake cable and several of our site sponsors sell the extension if your cart needs one.
