Default Re: Club car 48V DS moves with slight pedal pressure

ok so it measured 50V across the small terminals of the solenoid when pedal pressed.

The only thing was I have just realised I forgot to get it in "problem" mode and the wheels were spinning.

Would this affect this reading? Im assuming it is the solenoid though as there is definitely no audible click coming from it when the current is going through the small teminals?

Cheers
Justin

No, the reading on the small posts are for the activation circuit. If you check the large post with your meter, you should ~.5v to 1.5vdc. When you press the pedal and the solenoid closes, it should go to 0vdc. If it is not clicking or voltage going to 0vdc, the bridge internally has bound or failed or the activation coil is bad.

You can take the butt of a hammer and briskly tap on it and see if it engages, but if it does, that is a short term fix and it will still need to be replaced.
