Default 36V EZ go TXT slowing while riding

I have a 2001 or newer txt 36V cart. I just installed all new Trojan batteries and a controller. The speed sensor on the motor was also changed. When you first ride the cart it seems to drive fine then all of a sudden it slows to a crawl. Sometimes you can stop, wait and the cart will run again at full speed and sometimes it doesn’t. The cart is not lifted (yet). I’m trying to resolve this issue before lifting the cart. Any advice?
