Default CLUB CAR DS Electric Motor SWAP

I have a 2005 Club Car DS. The electric motor that is on it is a stock EJ4-4001. After running some tests I have come to the conclusion that there is a short in my electric motor. Does anyone know if a EJ8-4001 will bolt up and work with the existing stock components?

Yep, it'll bolt right in and run just fine.

Thank you jakesnake27. It's been a long process trying to figure this cart out. It's the 5th cart and last cart in our fleet that I've fixed this week. New batteries, new mcore, new charge port, new controller, this thing should run like a dream!

If your vehicle serial number prefix is "AQ", then yes. It will work fine.

The serial number does start with AQ. I put the EJ8-4001 motor on today and the cart ran like new. Thanks for all your help. On to the next cart!
