g1a won't start when warm
Unknown year. Had 60psi compression and would not strart, so i had cylinder machined .020 and put in correct piston/rings, base gasket, and head gasket. No real improvement. Runs great when cool, but after a couple of minutes to warm up, it gets weak at lower speeds. Then it will not pull, and only the starter is running. It will not restart for about 20 minutes, and then it will repeat the cycle.
Choke while running will kill the engine, and it does not need choke to start when cold. |

Sounds like it is running rich. Is your choke opening all the way? Check for plugged air filter. Take your carb apart and clean it.
