I almost bought a set of 22s on polaris wheels I think, they had 4x4 bolt pattern, for $40 here local. But the guy is gone for the winter now. I didn't really need them so I left them. Do you have offset wheels?

Most carts you need offset wheels or spacers to fit larger tires. Offset wheels move the tire outwards, also makes the cart more stable offroad.

I'll try to explain it. If a rim is 8" wide the center (where the wheel meets the hub to be bolted on) is at 4". "off-set" means that the "center" is moved either in or out. Most carts with bigger wheels need to have the center "off-set" out a bit - say a 5-3 (5" from one side and 3" from the other).

Does that help?

when i put the new torque spring in i think the clutching was proper. because i would drive it down the road without a seat and it was riding on the very top of the primary and very bottom of the secondary?

If you mean losing speed from the clutch spring? It could be the clutch is not opening all the way from the spring, take a marker and draw lines up the inside of sheaves. Run for a while at all speeds and belt will wear it off to show how much belt moves.

Did you put a spacer on the shaft or otherwise change the clutch mounting or parts of it?

Could be the primary is not working right and not getting belt all the way up, or far as it was before. It is hard to tell by looks as a little change can add up in mph.
