Check your drive belt, if the width has worn 1/8" or more, a new belt will make a noticeable difference.

Most yamaha are 1" width wear limit, it will not work well by then on a lifted cart but ok on stock cart. Unless they look clean and work well I'd clean and lube both clutches, I have posted it. I grease them once/twice a year or more if I get in the dirt a lot. May not be needed on a new clean cart. If the clutches don't shift well, you don't get that whole 10hp. Another issue is the frame rusting under the battery due to fumes/leakage. I'd keep it washed and painted there. You can adjust the steering box if it has play on G9 and older at least, just make sure it turns all the way easily once done. Check the kingpins in the front, the wheels may move in/out at top if they are bad. Cart should roll pretty easily if you put in neutral or take drive belt off...and harder tires are faster but ride worse.
