the 10mm nut should be threaded all the way in. make sure your belt is all the way at the top of the rear driven clutch and at the bottom of the front drive clutch. are you sure you were doing 30mph befor the hs gears thats flying for a stock cart and gears.

i think you could possibly go close to 40mph my G16 cart does 31mph with no hs gears and no engine work i think your on the right track but something is not adjusted(tuned) in quite right
