Rear end wobble
I did the search and read the posts about rear end wobble. I'm going to switch the tires around to see if it's a bad wheel/tire or a bad rear axle (bent shaft). I'll do that in a week and half when I'm back at the campground.
But I was thinking this morning. The wobble is more pronounced at slower speeds. Wouldn't the wobble get worse at higher speed if it was a bent axle shaft? Since the tires are bias ply, I was thinking it may be a flat spot on the tire from sitting, since a tire bias tire will expand the faster it spins. I also noticed this past weekend that one rear tire is at 8 psi and the other is at 10 psi. Never got around to making them equal. Just wondering if anyone had any thoughts. |

Re: Rear end wobble
Most of the time this is a bent or out of round rim. I have them on my carts as well.

Re: Rear end wobble
They're aluminum wheels. Wouldn't they crack, not bend? I'll still check it out.

Re: Rear end wobble
Could be your axle nut has come loose and the hub is wobbling on the axle?

Re: Rear end wobble
Thanks for all the responses. I won't be going back to the camper until 5/14. But I'll be taking a copy of this post as a checklist to go thru. I'll let you know what I discover.
