Default Rear end wobble

I did the search and read the posts about rear end wobble. I'm going to switch the tires around to see if it's a bad wheel/tire or a bad rear axle (bent shaft). I'll do that in a week and half when I'm back at the campground.

But I was thinking this morning. The wobble is more pronounced at slower speeds. Wouldn't the wobble get worse at higher speed if it was a bent axle shaft? Since the tires are bias ply, I was thinking it may be a flat spot on the tire from sitting, since a tire bias tire will expand the faster it spins.

I also noticed this past weekend that one rear tire is at 8 psi and the other is at 10 psi. Never got around to making them equal.

Just wondering if anyone had any thoughts.

Most of the time this is a bent or out of round rim. I have them on my carts as well.

They're aluminum wheels. Wouldn't they crack, not bend? I'll still check it out.

Yes. Doubt these are bent.

Could be your axle nut has come loose and the hub is wobbling on the axle?

Thanks for all the responses. I won't be going back to the camper until 5/14. But I'll be taking a copy of this post as a checklist to go thru. I'll let you know what I discover.
