1995 Medalist Rebuild
Well I am still offshore, but I have started ordering parts for my 1995 Marathon Series cart. Since I plan on redoing just about everything I purchased a Logisystems 480 AMP 36-48 volt speed controller and 48 volt 200amp Heavy Duty 600 amp peak Solenoid with a new diode and resistor from ScottyB. Thanks ScottyB for all of your help. I really appreciate you working with me. I also purchased an HD F&R switch from one of the site sponsors. I have 2ga. welding cables to replace all of the 6ga cables. I will also be converting to a 48 volt system. This should be a pretty good start for now. I can't wait to get home and begin the build. I will have pics when I get home of the cart as it sits and I will take pics as I go. Wish me luck as it is my first cart and first rebuild. Thanks to all of you that have answered and responded to my questions. I am sure I will have plenty more for ya'll.
Thanks, David J. |

Re: 1995 Medalist Rebuild
Well I got home today and it was like Christmas. My wife had all of the parts that I had ordered stacked on a chair just inside my front door. I opened all of them and can't wait to start putting them on the cart. I went outside and craked up the pressure washer and cleaned the cart real good. I took the bolts out of the controller and the F&R switch. I will be upgrading all of this. Well I will be hunting with my daughter for the weekend, but we will be working on it again Sunday. I will post some pics of the cart as it was when I got it.

Re: 1995 Medalist Rebuild
Tinkered with the oldMedalist todday. I removed the old rusted out battery rack and built a new one. I know I can not compete with some of the fabricators on here, but it will serve its purpose. Here are some pics. Tomorrow I plan on making up all of my new 2ga cables. If I have time I will startmounting in the new electronics and stuff. I'll keep ya'll posted as I progress with the rebuild.

Re: 1995 Medalist Rebuild
Looks good, if you are going to use battery hold downs you will need 2 tabs in the middle
