Default New guy same ole question:)

New to golf carts and i have a ezgo pds 2006 model .. First I know I should have bought a 48v but I picked this one up for only 600 with new batteries and charger.. It will be used as a Hunting cart I have some steep hills and will be lifting it with either 20 or 22 which ever I get best response for. My bro in law has a gas 2006 txt and he loves to out climb and out run me and he thinks a electric will NEVER keep up . I would love to prove him wrong but if not oh well. So give me some ideas on controller either a plug and play or programmable one. I have a mutli chip that came with it but have not installed it . It has 4ga wire across the batteries only so I will be picking up the 4ga cables that will replace the remainder 6ga.
Thanks guys for all your help
