Which Freedom is this?
We have a 1997 Freedom we bought for my Dad for Christmas. The serial # is 1038211, manuf # H1897. I know this is a Freedom model. Which one? on the Jacobsen sight there 5-6 Freedoms. I want to download the manuals for the cart to give to my Dad but don't know which one. Anybody know how to tell which one it is?

Re: Which Freedom is this?
you can run your serial number on shopezgo.com. But you have a TXT cart.

Re: Which Freedom is this?
Thanks, I ran it, but all it says is TXT Electric. I am trying to narrow it down to get the correct manuals on the Jacobsen site. I guess I'll pick the closest one and use that. They all seem pretty close. The main thing I want to stress to Mom and Dad is battery care. That seems to be the main issue. Any maintainence is gonna fall on my watch anyway. I think I have a pretty good handle on it now. And with the help of BGW I'm sure I can work it out. Merry Christmas Members!

Re: Which Freedom is this?
Freedom only meant that it had a full factory light kit from the factory. Everything else will be the same, with the POSSIBILITY of faster gearing in the rear end...

Re: Which Freedom is this?
Mike, you confirmed what I thought ... could the 'freedom' cart be a dcs or series cart then?

Re: Which Freedom is this?
Scotty - The Freedom could be either of the two, DCS or Series. Taz needs to tell us if he has a toggle switch on the controller cover!

Re: Which Freedom is this?
Thanks guys. No toggle switch. I found some info on it in a magazine. It's a "Non-DCS" cart. So I take it, it is a series cart. I need to brush up on all the controller stuff. Oh and MMT, it is a pretty quick cart!

Re: Which Freedom is this?
Then it possibly has the freedom rear end (gearing) in it. I'm not sure what all options the "freedom" carts had back then, but I know that a HS rear end was an option. Freedom Gas cart came with the HS rear end, as well...
