Default 96' TXT with rusted floor boards

Another issue I found in tearing down my cart was that some things are rusty. I found that the floor boards have a couple of the rivet holes rusted through out to the size of the rivet head.

What can be done? They are stamped so the rivet head is level with the panel. I thought I could weld a washer on the back? I can not find new floor boards listed anywhere and have not found this on this forum.

They make new floorboards. Get the Service parts manual for your cart from the stickies, part number is there. Mid $20's if I remember correctly. The lower floorboard will be steel, the upper will come plastic. At least mine did.

I have a Technician's Repair and Service Manual and see a listing for a Service Parts Manual. They are different?

I ordered the floor boards and the parts manual today. The cost of my $600 cart is climbing. My fault, I could have stopped at the batteries and the throttle micro switch. But then I would not have as much fun.

I got the panels and parts manual. For that price I hoped it would be accurate. The listing for the rivets is not correct! The upper floor pan calls for 10 (14601-G11) 5/32 X 9/16 LG (only has space fro 9) the lower pan calls for 6 but needs 7. I guess the extra form the upper will go on the lower. What does the "LG" stand for? However it does not even show the instrument panel to upper floor pan rivets. Anyone know what is used there? The holes would like to take a 3/16" rivet.

I also got the body rivet kit. I have 6 regular looking rivets 5/16 X 1/2 (maybe 10570-G10 but I would think that would be SS based on the numbers) that I assume go to the rear cowl to floor pan, however it needs 5 down and 3 up on the top of the cowl under the seat. Is that where they go? May need more. It also looks like I will have 2 extra of the long black instrument panel to cowl rivets 71055-G01 (they do not measure as on the parts list).
