Default What to look at before buying a club car?

I have an opportunity to purchase 2 non-running club cars at a good price. The batteries are shot on both so testing is a little limited. I have an ezgo so I'm not familiar with the club cars aside from them having aluminum frames. What should I look for to determine whether this is worth it or not? I plan on checking the serial number to determine the year and model. Are there any models/years to avoid or some that are worth looking for? Thanks.

what voltage are they? if possible you want 48 volt carts other than that make sure everything else is still there and not butchered up..........motors, controller, solenoids, wiring harness, chargers, OBC,s if they have them......................

He's asking $600 for the pair. Given they're in decent condition, I assume this is a good deal. Am I wrong? Is there a way to tell the year and model of the cart by looking at the body and/or features? I just want to cover my bases in case there is no serial number on the cart. Thanks

If there are no serial #s on the carts it is very likely they are stolen and you do not want any part of them, P.S. the deal sounds too good to be true. That's another clue something is amiss.

if they are 48 volt solid state, with all the pieces around the 2000 in year,, then that's the going price here in Oklahoma.
If they are resistor type,,, then pass, $300 each is too much for them

there should be a serial # plate center of cart lower dash area......the 1st 2#,s are the year...............depending on what year what voltage and if they come with chargers 600 might not be a deal......as it sits without knowing anything about them you need to drop 700 in each for batteries.....if you need chargers theres another 300 each................we need more info to give you even a close answer.....................................

Alos, a 95-95 48v with a toggle switch F/R would be a regen 1 and it is one to stay away from.

Going tomorrow to uncover the mystery. I'll try to avoid the Regen 1, thanks Colby. Supposedly one has batteries, but without proper care they are probably shot, but both carts have chargers. Thanks for the help and wish me luck.

Even if they both had bad batteries it will save you on trade-ins!

If that plate/sticker is missing, there should also be one behind the dashboard area, visible by either removing the front cowling or the dashboard, behind the keyswitch area on the right side . . .
