Default Re: Trouble getting NEW ( 6 mons old) batteries charged

Three separate issues here: #1 is Batteries. #2 is Charger. #3 is Bar Graph SoC Meter.

1. If your two year old 6V batteries won't climb above 5V each, their only worth is trade-in core value when buying new batteries.
Also, the warranty is most likely null and void because they were improperly stored and even if the dealer didn't find out that fact, it would still be be prorated.

2. Which 36V charger do have? They don't all work the same, so it may or may not be malfunctioning.
If possible, try your charger on a different cart or a different charger on your cart.

3. Bar Graph type SoC (State of Charge) Meters tell more lies than politicians.
Don't trust or believe it until you have verified it's accuracy with a DVM.

Can i use a 12v digital car charger to charge 2 6v battries tied together to make 12 v ? Im useing a old metter hand trickle down charger now ,its on 12v 6 amps ,it also has 12v 2 amps, and i can't get a full charge on the two together. tHE TOTAL on the bank is 33.7 and that is dead, when you put it back together and try to drive it ,it went about 50 ft and died. If i cant get it going in the next day or two im replacing the battries and having the charger checked out . Any suggestion's ?

I strongly suggest you get your charger repaired BEFORE you invest in new batteries.

New batteries need charging BEFORE use and then frequently there after... Getting more batteries and then trying to figure out a charger problem is asking for more battery woes. ( and your other charger won't cut it)
