ezgo txt max tire size
I have a 36 volt txt series cart ,it has been changed to dash forward /reverse switch and motor has been rewound and has a stock controller. It has 18" tires on it now and speeds are around 17 mph. Im wanting to add a lift and bigger tires but i dont want to change anything else ,what is the maximum tire size that i can use without damaging anything ? Will it have enough torque for 22" or should i stay with 20" or smaller? Thanks

Based on my limited research, it all depends on how high you go. I know all sports lift kits usually have the maximum tire size listed on their lift kits.
off the top of my head, 6" lift: 22" maybe 23" is the max tire size. others maybe be able to give better info. |

I would like to put a 5" or 6" lift on it and 22" tires , but if 22" tires are going to be to big for it to handle i may go with a 4" lift and 20 " tires. I dont want to burn anything up.

The larger the tire you put on the harder your controller and motor will need to work, if you stick with 22" or 23" tires you should be fine.

I'm running 23" and 6" Jakes lift, 500 amp controller and new 4ga wires, all is well and runs great.

mine has a stock controller,but i was told the motor has been rewound. it is faster than stock , gps @17 mph. if i run 22"s do i risk burning up anything or overheating? will i gain speed but lose alot of torque?

I gotta a 96 dcs with the allsports high 5 lift kit running 25 inch tires....but i need to change controller and other things cause i usually push things to the max...but riding on pretty flat areas it does great. i got room to run up to 27 inch tires. i love the height of the cart

im not sure what year mine is, i was told its a series cart but it has been refurbished . it has the rocker style f&r switch on the dash and the lower half of the cover with the tow /run switch has been cut off. how can i tell exactly what i have?
