Default Steering seemed to jump a few teeth

I was in the yard and turned the wheel while the cart was stopped, I guess the resistance caused the steering the jump a few teeth (could actually hear it click). It only seems to do this when turning left. Is there anyway to stop this from happening.

I also had the car on jack stands and saw that the tie rod on the rack was very loose so I'm replacing that and a few bad bushings.
