I think you will be very happy with the upgrade. Speaking from personal experience, ScottyB is great to work with. I had a few issues with my conversion (All my fault by the way) and he was very patient with me.

Keep us posted !

Thanks Shawn. I have been kicking this around since I bought the cart 2 years ago. I have done a fair amount of lurking here and have picked Scottyb's brain on a couple of occasions.

Cartsunlimited rep here is most definitely earned, I would consider it fooiish to go this one alone.

Default Is bigger always better in batteries?

Now that I have new motor control on it's way, I'm looking into 8 v batteries.

I will be buying Trojans. Found that a solar supply house had them quite a bit cheaper than the local cart shop.

Should I get the biggest 8v T-890 or is there a point of diminishing returns due to the extra weight?

It's like Christmas morning. My parts arrived. Nice work Scottyb, sure am glad I don't have to try and fabricate this myself. I'm going to study this stuff for a while and attack the cart tomorrow AM.

I put 875's in most of my builds. I don't have any experience with the 890. Around here, as long as people see that red battery, its good to go.

Ok, Got everything in. Not to sure on my PB6 or my wal mart multi meter. I'm only getting 4.3 ohms at wot, Cart does seem to going at full speed though so perhaps it's my meter. Need to measure controller output but I don't know what to use as test points.

I was wrong, meter is fine. PB6 needed a tweek. Now I get 0-5+ no problem.

Really woke this cart up. It pulls better and has a better top end.

Pictures soon.

Default 48V Here I come!

Just scored a brand new Lester 48v E series charger for wholesale. They made me an offer I couldn't refuse. Hopefully be buying a set of T875's in the next week or two.
